DAY 4- 7th June 2016

This was a day filled with memories from the past. I used to see giraffes from Isinya along Kajaido to Namanga. Now I only see buildings and lots of signs written “Land For sale”. I had just completed 21 kms from Isinya to Kajaido and was received by the Kajaido First Lady. Kajaido town has changed a lot with so many new developments and buildings. There are clear signs of rapid urbanization and the migration of people in search of opportunity is putting a lot of pressure of land where wildlife roamed freely. The tall things here used to be giraffes ambling along gracefully. I have not spotted any but I saw several tall buildings and this harsh price our environment and the animals that thrive in it pay for development.
