DAY 1 – 4th June 2016

Yesterday was an amazing day. It marked the beginning of the 3,200KM E.A walk. The highlight of the day was being flagged off by H.E Margaret Kenyatta and getting to cover 32Km from the KICC to Kitengela where my team and I would be staying for the night. My highlight was the message from the 1st lady who said, “ It’s encouraging to know that an issue so critical to our country is being tackled not only top down but by individuals on the ground”. I look forward to visiting churches within this town today giving them the conservation message. I had a lot of support leaving Nairobi, including the KWS band and friends of the Elephant Neighbours Center. At Mlolongo, I was joined by Muzafaar Khan and his nephew who was on a wheelchair. Upon arriving in Kitengela my team rescued a baby girl about 5 years old who nearly drowned in a swimming pool. I suppose God sent us in at the right time. #‎StepWithJim
