DAY 6 – 9TH June 2016
Today was a very chilly day, walking from Kajaido to Bisil, a total of 29 kms covered. I remember this section had a population of giraffes and small game like gazelles and zebras. I did not see any animals the whole stretch and that is worrying. People have to survive and they want development because it means jobs. But they also have to be taught how to live in harmony with the environment and that is a difficult conversation to have where people do not understand the value of wildlife. An old man received with a bottle of soda at Bisil. It was a simple and kind gesture of good old vintage African hospitality.
